A Day in Chang’s Media Life

Chang Liu, SNHU student

My media social life in a day involves many different applications including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Little red book. I utilized these apps to check out my friend’s status and searching around for fun/useful things to watch during my morning or spare time throughout the day. Facebook “watch” session has many interesting videos to watch; only one click/search will link me to endless related video or topic that I just watched. The marketplace is where I usually buy/sell used or new things online with strangers. Instagram is where I mostly spend my time on the story session to catch up with friend’s live event up to date and interact with them accordingly. I like to spend time on YouTube for soap drama and talk shows with longer episodes. Little red book is where I learn many beauty tips, cooking receipts, kids development tips for new parents and so forth.

I enjoy spend time on social media as it is a break to my reality life. It will easy my mind from work and family. I also finds it take my stress off things that are often spinning in my head. Learning from people online for different skills also benefits me in many ways in life. I found little red book is mostly useful to me because I only go on there with specific needs such as advise on parenting, cooking, shopping verse the other apps are more for fun to kill times without an actual purpose.

Gmail’s archive features has been working out amazingly for me when it comes to overloaded commercial company emails. I only check out promotion folder when I need a discount code for a specific brand. For instant note that Poshmark start sending notifications like things that I used to liked but bidding by others would make me curious and revisit the site for the updates. I notices that digital media has become our day to day life and marketing in this format is probably the most efficient/effective way to promote products. The big data analysis technology are being used to study customer’s interest and shopping habits which benefiting to many companies and able to attract target audiences for the right promotions.
